HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR | LE PETIT PALI LAGUNA BEACH The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for all guest rooms and the day‑to‑day operations of the housekeeping department. This person will oversee daily assignments, room inspections, and employee relations. The ideal candidate must possess excellent leadership skills.

TASKS AT HAND

Supervises the day‑to‑day operations of the housekeeping department and assists as needed during high occupancy Maintains high standards of cleanliness in the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas and offices Maintains and updates all guest collateral placed in the rooms Responds to requests in an expedient, professional manner Interacts with guests to ensure satisfaction and handles guests concerns as necessary Examines rooms, halls, lobby, bathrooms, and/or housekeeping storage areas to determine need for repairs, replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management Trains, counsels and disciplines team members, as needed Seeks continual improvement for the department and hotel Complies with all policies, procedures and regulations that relate to the local, state and federal laws Advises front desk agent of rooms readiness for occupancy Uses correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to hotel requirements Clears guest rooms by category priority Empties trash containers Removes all dirty terrycloth and replaces with clean pack to designated layout Removes soil, dirt, soap build‑up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor Replaces facial, toilet tissue and bathroom amenities in correct amount and location Inspects condition of bathrobes and replaces if soiled/damaged Removes dirty bed linen and makes up bed with clean linen Replaces laundry bags and slips Cleans closets and door tracks on check‑out rooms, removing dust and debris Ensures correct amount and placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillow Dusters and polishes all furniture Realigns furniture to floor plan Opens all drawers/doors in check‑out rooms and removes items left by guest; dusts inside Checks under bed(s), chairs and sofa for debris and removes if present Inspects condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains; reports any damages to the supervisor Removes all dust, debris and foreign particles from upholstered furniture including crevices and under cushions Dusters pictures, frames and mirrors Removes dust and debris on television, clock radio, remote control and cable box Sets correct time on clock; correct TV channel Clears all lamps and light switches; checks for proper working order Removes dust, spots and smears from windows, ledges and frames Removes dust, grease and smears from telephones and repositions properly Empties liquid from ice bucket and wipes all surfaces dry Removes dust, smudges and spills from mini bar; ensures it is plugged in and securely locked Must be completely flexible with scheduling and be open to varied schedules every week based on hotel occupancies Follows uniform guideline Performs any other reasonable duties as required by management Leads by example at all times and stays visible to staff Is part of a leadership team of brand advocates who believe in what Palihotel Seattle has to offer and who are personally invested in its success Fosters an environment where team members know they are valued, ensuring they are treated fairly and with respect Assists in building a culture of open communication, spends time with team members and is available for them (open door policy) Continuously strives to improve and maintain client and guest experiences Leads in managing the overall reputation management of the hotel Continues to give the brand a voice – naturally showcasing what the brand has to offer and its virtues to others (employees, leaders, owners). Easily translates a passion for the brand into a unique experience for both guest and employees Personifies the best values of the brand, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and service delivery for all employees on property Effectively manages wages and controllable expenses Focuses on maximizing the financial performance of the department Monitors performance against budgets and goals
