The trauma surgeon will provide comprehensive trauma surgery coverage across inpatient and OR settings, working day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and night shifts from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with 24-hour shifts available. The clinician will manage a shared daily census of approximately 35 patients in collaboration with the covering team. Required procedures include tube thoracostomy and central venous catheter placement. The position requires board certification, an active North Carolina medical license, NC DEA, and current ATLS certification. The surgeon will collaborate with a team that includes attending surgeons, APPs, residents, and trauma nurse leads to ensure continuity of trauma care.
