Job Title: Registered Dietitian

Location: Bronx, NY

Shift: Day Shift (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Schedule: 5 Days/Week

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Duration: 13 Weeks



Job Description:
Responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs, monitoring food and drug interactions, and providing education on diet and nutrition. Collaborates with physicians to recommend appropriate diet modifications and ensures accurate documentation of patient education and dietary plans.


Screens and assesses patients in a timely and accurate manner based on level of care. Determines nutritional needs, evaluates patient status, and provides follow-up care. Interviews patients and/or families to obtain dietary history and preferences. Interprets laboratory, physical, and social data relevant to nutrition care. Provides nutrition education and documents patient understanding of prescribed diets. Modifies patient menus as needed and works closely with physicians to support patient care.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of experience required
• Outpatient experience required
• Experience with dialysis patients required
• Graduate from an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Food & Nutrition
• Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (Required)
• AHA BLS certification (Preferred)
