Embark on an enriching contract assignment as a School-Based Occupational Therapist supporting students ranging from early childhood to transition-aged young adults. This rewarding role is based near Rio Rancho, NM, and runs from November 1st through May 27th, 2027, providing essential services across multiple school sites as staff OTs rotate on and off leave.

In this dynamic setting, you’ll adapt to varying school locations and caseloads, working directly with children and young adults aged 3 to 22 who have diverse disabilities. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping students access their education and achieve greater independence through individualized therapy and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapy license (OT) for the state
• Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
• Ability to manage a flexible, changing caseload across several sites
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Dedication to empowering students with a variety of physical, sensory, and cognitive needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess students’ functional abilities within the educational environment
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and staff
• Provide direct therapy services and consultative support in accordance with IEPs
• Monitor progress, adapt interventions, and maintain thorough documentation
• Travel to various school sites as assignments shift with staff transitions
