FirstLight Home Care is hiring compassionate and dependable caregivers for clients throughout North County San Diego.

This is a traveling, in-home caregiving position. Applicants must be willing and able to accept assignments in multiple North County communities, including Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, San Marcos, Escondido, and surrounding areas.

We have day, evening, overnight, weekday, and weekend shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. Tell us your availability, and we will discuss assignments that fit your schedule, experience, and skills.

What You’ll Do

Depending on the client’s care plan, you may assist with:

• Companionship and meaningful activities
• Bathing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care
• Meal preparation and medication reminders
• Dementia reassurance and redirection
• Transfers, mobility, and fall-prevention support
• Light housekeeping
• Care documentation and communication
• Transportation and errands when assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Professional or personal caregiving experience preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
• Dependable attendance and strong communication
• Willingness to travel throughout North County San Diego
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Valid California driver’s license
• Current auto insurance
• California Home Care Aide registration or willingness to complete the process
• Ability to satisfy applicable background-clearance, health-screening, and agency onboarding requirements
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Paid training is available for compassionate and dependable candidates who are ready to learn.

Important Travel Requirement

This position is not limited to clients in Vista. Caregivers must be willing to drive to assignments throughout North County San Diego. The exact client location and schedule will be discussed before you accept an assignment.
