Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid compact or state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Telemetry experience required - IV start skills required - Patient ratio experience required Description: PCU Float Pool position available for night shifts. Floating to different units within the organization may be required. Estimated patient ratios are 1:3-4. Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration. Experience in cardiac telemetry is necessary. Candidates should have competencies in hemodialysis management, pre/post-surgery care, and wound care. Strong isolation precautions and PPE knowledge are essential. Candidates must be able to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration is necessary. Experience with rapid response/code teams is preferred. Must possess strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Flexibility and adaptability to manage diverse patient diagnoses are required. A commitment to high-quality patient care is essential. All candidates must comply with urgent credentialing processes. A reference from a supervisor or formal leadership capacity is required. No coworker references will be accepted. Candidates must complete fingerprints promptly after booking if selected. Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
