Title: Cloud Engineer I What you’ll do The Cloud Engineer I is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services to support the company’s global software solutions. This role leverages advanced technical expertise and cross‑functional collaboration to solve complex cloud engineering challenges. The position plays a key role in shaping cloud practices and driving technical excellence across teams and projects. Required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of four years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles. Preferred Master’s degree in a related field. Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect. Experience in a SaaS or enterprise software environment. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors Advanced knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (e.g., IAM, encryption, key management). Experience with Microsoft Azure components (compute, storage, networking basics, Key Vault, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, Cosmos DB, etc). Experience with deployment/release tooling — Octopus Deploy or similar. Solid working knowledge of writing and running SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar). Ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot distributed applications. Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams. Understanding of cost management and optimization strategies in cloud environments. Salary range is typically $105,000 – $150,000 for candidates in major metros (Boston, NYC, etc.), $100,100 – $143,000 for other major metros, $95,100 – $135,900 for other regions, and $84,200 – $131,600 for all other U.S. locations.
