Senior Scientist, Imaging Analytics

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Scientist in Imaging Analytics to advance medical imaging AI for early-phase oncology drug development. The role involves developing quantitative imaging metrics from trial scans (CT, MRI, PET), leading scientific partnerships, and translating imaging AI into clinical decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop imaging AI and quantitative metrics from trial imaging data to support response assessment and dose optimization
- Collaborate internally and externally to advance foundational imaging AI capabilities relevant to oncology drug development
- Provide scientific leadership to external partnerships including vendors, CROs, academic centers, and imaging device manufacturers
- Publish and present scientific innovations at top-tier medical imaging and oncology conferences
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related quantitative discipline
- Hands-on expertise in deep learning, radiomics, and multimodal predictive modeling for medical imaging
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch with experience in MONAI, SimpleITK, nnU-Net, and 3D Slicer
- Experience with cloud ML infrastructure, MLOps, and full imaging data workflows including DICOM processing
- Strong peer-reviewed publication record and ability to communicate complex concepts across technical and cross-functional teams
- Post-doctoral or industry experience developing AI/ML for medical imaging in clinical settings (preferred)
- Experience with solid-tumor imaging analysis and oncology endpoints like RECIST 1.1 and iRECIST (preferred)
