Work Environment

This position is based in a supportive, onsite outpatient setting where you will work directly with a diverse range of patients. You will operate from our home care facility, where the emphasis is on personalized, hands-on rehabilitation delivered in a compassionate manner. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a work-life balance that is critical in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic conditions, ensuring each plan of care is tailored to individual goals and needs.
• Maintain an optimal patient load that allows you to dedicate significant time and focus to each client.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to provide evidence-based interventions that enhance patients' functional mobility.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities and approaches.
• Promote non-surgical rehabilitation alternatives, aiming to decrease the reliance on medications.
• Motivate patients through personalized fitness and wellness programs, aligning them with their treatment objectives.
• Continuously monitor treatment progress and adjust care plans based on patient response and outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment protocols accurately, using EMR software like Web PT.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an orthopedic physical therapist, you will primarily work with a varied patient demographic, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals recovering from surgical interventions, and patients with chronic conditions affecting mobility. Your role will involve developing relationships with patients and empowering them throughout their rehabilitation journey, establishing trust and facilitating open communication to enhance their recovery experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida with a clean record, free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exceptional skills in various manual therapy techniques and a strong aptitude for developing effective exercise programs.
• Proficient in utilizing EMR systems, specifically Web PT, to document patient care efficiently.
• Must be knowledgeable about contemporary physical therapy practices backed by current research.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Comfort in working with patients from diverse backgrounds and a strong commitment to continuing education.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
