Senior Project AccountantQuanta Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to support large-scale EPC and infrastructure projects across the power generation sector. This role provides advanced financial oversight, project accounting leadership, and strategic support for complex, multi-million-dollar construction and engineering programs.The Senior Project Accountant will serve as a key financial partner to Project Management, Project Controls, and executive leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong cost control, and compliance across all active EPC projects.What You'll DoProject Financial LeadershipLead project accounting activities across multiple complex EPC projects from initiation through closeoutOversee project financial performance, including costs, revenue recognition, billing, and commitmentsEnsure accuracy of monthly close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reportingProvide financial guidance to project teams on contract structure and accounting implicationsAdvanced Cost & Billing OversightReview and approve complex client billing applications and project invoicesManage progress billing, retainage, change orders, and contract-specific financial requirementsPartner with Project Controls to validate cost reporting, forecasting, and earned value dataResolve high-level billing disputes and subcontractor financial discrepanciesFinancial Analysis & ReportingPerform advanced variance analysis, forecasting, and project performance reportingIdentify financial risks, margin impacts, and cost overruns across active projectsPrepare executive-level financial summaries and project performance dashboardsEnsure accuracy and integrity of data within ERP and accounting systemsCompliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and contractual obligationsSupport internal and external audits, including documentation preparation and issue resolutionMaintain strong financial controls and enforce proper cost coding and allocation structuresIdentify and implement process improvements within project accounting workflowsCross-Functional LeadershipServe as a senior liaison between accounting, operations, project management, and procurement teamsProvide mentorship and guidance to Project Accountant I–III staffSupport training efforts and development of junior accounting personnelContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project accounting and finance functionsWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field7–12+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in EPC, construction, or industrial environmentsStrong understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting and revenue recognition principlesExperience with project cost controls, WIP reporting, and financial forecastingProficiency with ERP systems (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar)Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilitiesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and operational teamsAbility to manage multiple high-value projects in a fast-paced environmentWhat You'll GetCompetitive CompensationWeekly Pay401(k) Retirement PlanHoliday PayPaid Time Off (PTO)Comprehensive Health CoveragePet InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional Development OpportunitiesTuition AssistanceEmployee Discount ProgramEqual Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
