Environmental Services Tech Nights

Wellfound is hiring a .75 FTE Environmental Services Tech to join our team. This is 10 hours shifts. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Position information: As an Environmental Services tech, you will assist where necessary in order to provide the hospital with a clean and sanitary environment, including patient care areas, administrative areas, and floors. Duties: Use appropriate cleaning techniques, supplies, and safety precautions in cleaning assigned area and equipment. Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge for all infection control policies and procedures required to maintain the patient care environment. Dispose of all medical waste, (regular, recyclable, and regulated) appropriately. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements for correct waste segregation. Use computer to update EPIC as primary tool for tracking of individual progress of all work completed throughout the day. Work closely with other staff to obtain or provide routine information, submit work orders, request supplies, and schedule maintenance work. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date. Paid Time Off will be accrued based on hours worked and tenure. You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual. PTO cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date with the exception of designated Wellfound holidays. What We Require Education: Must have effective oral / written English communication skills in order to perform job.
