Of Counsel Attorney - Family Law Firm

Our firm is seeking an Of Counsel attorney who is passionate about helping women navigate family law matters and move forward with confidence.

This position plays an important role in creating a positive and supportive experience for potential new clients during their initial interaction with the firm.

The Of Counsel attorney will conduct consultations with prospective clients, assess their legal needs, and determine whether the firm is the right fit for representation.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, and an effective communicator who can build trust while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

Legal advice is not expected during these consultations, as the purpose of the meeting is to evaluate the matter, discuss the client’s goals, and explain the firm’s process and approach.

Training will be provided on the firm’s consultation procedures, policies, and expectations.

This is a part-time position, with consultations typically scheduled two to three days per week.

Some flexibility in scheduling is available.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct consultations with potential new clients via Zoom, phone, and in person
• Build rapport and establish trust quickly with prospective clients
• Explain legal processes and answer general legal questions related to family law matters
• Guide consultations with confidence, empathy, and professionalism
• Work collaboratively with the Client Liaison to achieve strong conversion rates
• Review intake forms and prepare for consultations in advance
• Take detailed consultation notes for handoff to the assigned legal team after retention
• Follow the firm’s consultation structure, policies, and procedures
• Participate in training and coaching related to consultations and conversion performance

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing
• Minimum two to three years of family law experience
• Experience conducting legal consultations
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working alongside a sales-oriented intake and conversion team
• Willingness to learn and follow the firm’s consultation systems and processes
