Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The position emphasizes utilizing clinical judgment, specialized knowledge, and nursing skills to meet the individual needs of patients throughout their recovery process, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or an approved temporary/interim RN license or compact RN licensure. BLS certification is required. Experience in a clinical setting relevant to the position is preferred; specific experience requirements include a minimum of one year working as an RN in an acute care environment within the past 12 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred. Professional certification relevant to the specialty, such as Progressive Care Certification, is preferred. Additional related education or experience is advantageous.
• Additional Information: This role involves direct patient care in a progressive care setting, requiring the ability to monitor and respond to patient changes, administer treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, performing assessments, and utilizing evidence-based practices.
