Male Direct Support Professional (DSP)

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Male Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide 1:1 community-based support to an adult male with developmental disabilities. This role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and positive engagement at home and in the community. Schedule 6–10 hours per week Flexible scheduling (weekday) Responsibilities Provide 1:1 supervision and support in the community Assist with daily living skills, personal care prompts, and hygiene routines Support participation in recreational, fitness, and social activities Encourage healthy food choices and monitor safety during meals Provide verbal coaching for appropriate social behavior and communication Transport to community activities and appointments as needed Follow individualized support and behavior guidelines Maintain line‑of‑sight supervision while promoting independence Communicate effectively with family and supervisory staff Requirements Male staff required per client preference Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Calm, patient, and dependable demeanor Ability to provide structure, redirection, and positive reinforcement Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass background checks and required trainings Why Join Us Meaningful 1:1 work Flexible part‑time hours Supportive agency environment Opportunity to make a direct impact in someone’s life #J-18808-Ljbffr Hearten
