This role reports to the Controller and partners closely with operations and investment teams to ensure timely, accurate financial information, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement./ppThis is an in-office position based in Chicago, IL./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliOwn day-to-day accounting and general ledger activities across 40+ entities, ensuring accurate coding, classifications, and documentation/liliLead month-end and quarter-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation/liliPrepare and review cash and liquidity reporting; monitor daily cash activity and coordinate funding across entities and investment accounts/liliAnalyze financial results, variances, and trends; provide insights and recommendations to address risks, anomalies, and process gaps/liliDevelop and maintain clear electronic workpapers and close schedules that support audit readiness and repeatable processes/liliOversee accounts payable workflow: review invoices, ensure appropriate approvals, and manage intercompany billing and allocations/liliCoordinate retrieval and review of bank, brokerage, and credit card statements across multiple financial institutions; investigate and resolve discrepancies/liliCoordinate tax documentation and support annual compliance, audits, and filings by liaising with external tax preparers and advisors/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulli6+ years of progressive accounting experience/liliBachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required/liliExperience supporting multiple entities and complex structures; exposure to investment accounting and/or family office environments is a plus/liliStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and close best practices, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation/liliDemonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal controls, document processes, and ensure data integrity across systems/liliHands-on experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks preferred) and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel/liliAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas) and comfort working with large data sets/liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information for non-accounting stakeholders/liliHighly detail-oriented, well organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment/liliExperience with AP automation and expense management tools (AvidXchange, Bill.com, Ramp, HomePay, or similar) is strongly preferred/liliStrong understanding of A/P, A/R, and intercompany transactions, including allocations, eliminations, and due-to/due-from activity/liliSelf-motivated with a high level of initiative; able to work independently and identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting/liliHighly proficient in time management, organization, planning, and prioritization, with demonstrated ownership of the close calendar/liliEligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future./li/ulpBase Pay $80,000 - $100,000 USD Annual/ppBonus: 10%/ppInvenergy LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
