Activity Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Activity Assistant to join our team at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Salem, Ohio. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in creating a fulfilling and engaging experience for our residents. Responsibilities:
Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents, including arts and crafts, games, and outings
Develop and maintain a variety of activities to cater to diverse interests and abilities of residents
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and meet the unique needs of each resident
Provide support with resident assessments, care plans, and progress notes
Maintain accurate records and reports of activities and resident participation
Participate in care planning conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings
Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, bathing, and toileting, as needed
Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures
Requirements:

Previous experience in a healthcare setting or related field is preferred but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of adult learning principles and recreational therapy theories
