The responsibilities of this role include the following:Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness. Applies and/or develops highly advanced concepts, techniques and standards. Viewed as expert in the field outside of the corporation.Defines and implements EMI/EMC requirements to meet specified product performance for all aspects of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) compliance, including but not limited to EMI/ EMC/ EME/ ESD/ EMP and Lightning.Reviews/prepares/modifies EMI control plans, procedures, reports, and seeks opportunities for improved efficienciesParticipates in Design Reviews, trade-off analysis, and provide all EMI/EMC design control for major programs.Directs major test programs across BAE Systems and external vendor sites, and has knowledge of test equipment automation software, TILE, EMC32, etc.Mentors and develops junior and mid-level EMI/EMC engineers.Employee Benefits: At BAE Systems, we support our employees in all aspects of their life, including their health and financial well-being. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.Required Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor's degree in a STEM Field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field)Thorough working knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464Experience in EMI/EMC analysis and modeling, product qualification tests and test techniques, and product complianceKnowledge of virtual meeting tools such as Webex, Zoom, Skype, Microsoft teams, etc., in order to accomplish the work of your teamExcellent technical written and verbal communication skills.Experience presenting technical information to program teams and/or customersAbility to obtain & maintain DoD security clearancePreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsMaster's Degree in a STEM Field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field)Familiarity with typical EMI/EMC test equipment and control software including oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, EMI receivers, low noise amplifiers, signal generators, etc.Working knowledge of RTCA DO-160, Section 22, Indirect Effects of Lightning.Experience with software tools such as Matlab, MathCAD, PSPICE, LTSPICE, Feko, and ANSYS HFSS, and other simulation toolsPrevious work experience with reading, interpreting and following: circuit schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings, BOMs, cable harnesses, wiring schematics, interface diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings and CAD softwarePrior experience with lightning mitigation in systems, or subsystems.Possess iNarte EMC Engineer CertificationPossess Secret or Top Secret DoD security clearancePay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
