About the Role Our client is seeking a reliable and efficient Shipping and Receiving Clerk for their facility in Welkom . This hands-on role is critical for the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all incoming goods are received accurately and all outgoing shipments are processed correctly and on time. You will be responsible for managing logistics documentation, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining an organized receiving and shipping area. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a busy operational setting. Key Responsibilities Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies. Accurately document all received goods using the company's inventory system. Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to specifications and carrier requirements. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area. Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to schedule pickups and deliveries. Requirements Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role within a warehouse environment. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory tracking software. Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts (certification is a plus). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and handling. Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects. Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain processes . Benefits Competitive wage and benefits package.
