Duration: 6 Month Contract, possible extensions, possible conversion
Schedule: 5X8's - no overnight, no on-call, no holidays
Compensation: $27-$33/HR

The Facilities Technician, under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, assists employees in the Senior Facilities Technician classification and performs routine corrective and preventative maintenance work on the facilities operating equipment and systems, and performs related duties as required. This apprentice-level position completes work with limited supervision, with moderate problem solving required. Duties may include, but are not limited to, work on plumbing systems, doors, windows, roofs, fire equipment, replacement of belts and filters, equipment lubrication, HVAC components, and fans including related motors.

Requirements:
3 years experience in Facilities Maintenance or trades-related experience
Driver’s license valid in the state of Oregon
Basic Plumbing Knowledge
Must be able to trace a building system line
Basic knowledge of carpentry and tools necessary
Basic understanding of construction principles and basic mechanical knowledge

Knowledge of minor repairs on basic building systems
Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions:

Working conditions may include working outside in inclement weather, crawling in small cramped spaces, working from ladders, scaffolds and other above ground locations including high sloping roofs; working in extreme temperatures, around moving machinery, and in confined spaces containing high levels of of noise, dust, and odors could be expected. Some risk of exposure to dirt, biological, chemical and radiological materials, some danger of steam or hot water burns, electric shock, infection or minor injuries that could require the use of OSHA approved Personal Protective Equipment.
