A well-established national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Associate to join its expanding practice in Los Angeles . This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take the next step in their career while working alongside experienced attorneys on sophisticated employment matters and becoming part of a growing national practice.

The Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will have 4–8 years of experience handling a combination of employment counseling and litigation. The practice offers exposure to a broad range of matters, including complex wage and hour litigation and high-stakes employment disputes.

You will have the opportunity to work directly on matters involving:

• Wage and hour class actions
• Single-plaintiff discrimination claims
• Harassment matters
• Wrongful termination litigation
• Employment counseling
• Restrictive covenant matters
• Traditional labor matters

This role is particularly attractive for an attorney who enjoys both counseling and litigation and wants meaningful responsibility in a sophisticated practice.

What You'll Do:

• Represent employers in a variety of labor and employment disputes
• Research and analyze complex employment law issues
• Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Assist with trial preparation and, where applicable, trial proceedings
• Advise clients on employment-related issues and risk
• Collaborate with attorneys across a growing national Labor & Employment practice
• Manage matters with increasing levels of responsibility and client interaction

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4–8 years of labor and employment experience
• Experience with both employment counseling and litigation
• Experience handling wage and hour class actions
• Experience with single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination matters
• Strong legal research and motion-drafting skills
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Trial and/or substantial trial-preparation experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong academic and professional credentials
• Active admission to the California Bar

Preferred:

Experience with restrictive covenants and/or traditional labor matters.

Compensation:
