You balance field knowledge with strategic thinking, communicate effectively with clients and regulators, and take ownership of project delivery, safety, and quality.RequiredBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, or a closely related discipline4+ years of experience (5–8 years preferred) with progressive responsibility on environmental site investigation and remediation projectsDemonstrated experience working under CERCLA, RCRA, and state regulatory programsStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce high‑quality technical reports (writing sample may be requested)Environmental field experience including soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificationStrong commitment to health, safety, and risk managementValid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sitesPreferredMaster’s degree in Engineering, Geology, or related fieldProfessional licensure (PE or PG) or ability to obtain licensure in the near futureExperience with vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation, LNAPL/DNAPL investigations, and high‑resolution site characterization toolsFamiliarity with EQuIS or other environmental data management platformsKey ResponsibilitiesManage and execute site investigation and remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor intrusion, including projects with moderate to complex technical and regulatory challengesPlan, coordinate, and oversee field programs including sampling, drilling, well installation, remediation system implementation, and O&MDevelop and review work plans, technical reports, conceptual site models, scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates, and health & safety plansInterpret environmental data, conduct QA/QC evaluations, identify data gaps, and guide technical decision‑makingEvaluate remedial alternatives and support clients in developing and negotiating cost‑effective closure strategies with regulatory agenciesDelegate work effectively, mentor junior staff, and engage ERM subject‑matter experts to deliver maximum client valuePrepare proposals and actively participate in business development and client relationship managementBuild strong, collaborative relationships with ERM colleagues, clients, regulators, and subcontractorsWhy ERMERM is a global leader in environmental consulting, recognized for technical excellence, professional integrity, and career development. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range.
