General Litigation Attorney

A growing Newport Beach law firm is seeking a General Litigation Attorney with 5-10 years of California litigation experience to join its expanding practice group. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who enjoys variety in their practice and wants hands-on responsibility across a diverse range of sophisticated litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling cases from inception through resolution and thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will work on a broad spectrum of litigation matters and play a key role in managing cases from start to finish. Responsibilities:

• Handle litigation matters through all phases, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, trials, and appeals
• Manage cases independently while collaborating closely with firm leadership
• Draft persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses
• Take and defend depositions and participate in court appearances
• Develop case strategy and maintain direct client relationships

• Business and Commercial Disputes
• Real Estate Litigation
• Intellectual Property Litigation, including Trademarks, Copyrights, and Trade Secrets
• Personal Injury and Wrongful Death
• Proposition 65 Matters
• Consumer Litigation, including CLRA and UCL Claims
• Construction Litigation
• Hospitality Industry Disputes
• Professional Negligence
• Other Complex Civil Litigation Matters

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of California litigation experience
• Experience managing litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Strong writing, analytical, advocacy, and case management skills
• Ability to work across multiple practice areas and litigation disciplines
• Portable business is not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $165,000 - $210,000 depending on experience
