State Fund is looking for an additional member to join our Teleworking Financial Planning & Analysis Team. This position will work under the general direction of the Finance Business Partner in a large enterprise specialized in the field of Workers' Compensation Insurance. Seeking a skilled Financial Analyst IV to:

• Execute advanced data analysis independently in response to ad-hoc research and reporting requests
• Construct models for reporting data, forecasting results, and conducting intricate analyses
• Generate, refine, and update financial projections
• Evaluate and analyze various types of data, design dashboards using business intelligence tools, and produce reports and presentations with compelling visualizations
• Lead efforts to improve effectiveness and efficiency of management reporting by designing and building sustainable financial tools
• Improve the usability of templates, explore opportunities for automated reporting, and provide recommendations for creating value-added reports

The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding/knowledge of Statement Statutory Accounting Principles (SSAP) and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), be experienced in Project Management, financial modeling, and have advanced research and data gathering skills.

Special Requirements

Incumbents must possess 12 semester or 18 quarter units course work in any combination of a data driven research-related field, such as economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a research-related field. This must include at least one course in statistical methods; and Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree. Work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis by applicants who have the required units mentioned above. A Master's Degree in economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science or a related research-oriented field may be substituted for two years of the required experience. A doctoral degree in the same areas may be substituted for three years of the required experience. Incomplete applications may also result in removal from consideration. You are required to complete employment history on the application form (STD 678). You may be disqualified from the recruitment process if the employment history is not complete.
