You’ll play a key part in helping students achieve academic and social success by providing high-quality speech-language services throughout the school semester, with the possibility to extend the assignment.

What You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid state license or eligibility for licensure in Alabama
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
• Experience in a school setting, or strong desire to work with school-aged children
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, families, and other professionals

What You’ll Do:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and speech disorders for students from varied backgrounds
• Develop targeted therapy plans to address needs such as articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication
• Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school and state guidelines
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students’ success in both classroom and social environments
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide direct and consultative services, as well as recommendations for classroom strategies

Role Details:

• Begin as soon as selected, continue through the end of the semester, with the potential to stay longer based on need
• 30 hours per week, allowing balance between professional growth and personal commitments
