Field Service Technician

Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls Communicate with customers as a first-line response Organize and triage customer issues and resolve problems proactively Work with dedicated teachers, mentors, and coaches across service territories Requirements Local candidate to specific geographic area Authorized to work in the US At least 18 years of age Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Prolonged travel, driving several hours per day Rotating and weekend shifts Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times and some holidays Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts in retail environments Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of applicable screening criteria Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical equipment, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
