Maintenance Tech - Weekdays

Chambliss Center for Children is looking for a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for the children, families, and communities we serve. Job Details Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday daytime hours with occasional evenings or weekends for emergencies or urgent repairs Full-time or part-time opportunities available Pay is $15-$21 per hour depending on skill and experience Full-time benefits include generous paid time off, free telehealth, contributions to a health reimbursement account, life insurance, retirement account with company match Responsibilities Complete maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance tasks Perform general repairs including plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance and safety issues Assist with moving, installing, or repairing furniture, fixtures, and equipment Support overall facility operations and respond to urgent repair needs when necessary Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of general building maintenance experience Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate hand and power tools Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check required for working around children Physical Requirements Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the workday Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Travel extensively between multiple local agency locations within the Chattanooga area Chambliss Center for Children is an equal employment opportunity employer.
