Permanent job openingSeeking a board certified or truly board eligible Family Medicine PhysicianCompletion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency program by position start dateAn ideal candidate will be either an experienced physician or a recent graduate interested in pursuing a non-ACGME accredited academic fellowship, with availability to start in 2025 and a strong desire to work in medical education or academic leadershipBoard certified or board eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family PhysiciansValid Georgia Medical License or participation in Interstate Medical Licensure CompactSchedule- Monday- Friday; 8am-5pm; on average 2 clinic days, 1 precepting day, and dedicated administration time for GME education per weekCall Schedule- Some call required (mainly during work hours or scheduled home call after hours to cover residents); no overnight call required unless desire to participate in optional OB or inpatient adult medicine coveragePatient volume- 10-12 patients per half day in clinicProcedures- LARC insertion and removal, pap smears, joint injections(with and without ultrasound), skin procedures, incision and drainage (I&D), Toenail removals, and sterile vaginal exam/cervical checksDuties- provide direct care to clinic patients and to educate residents through precepting; not required to have faculty experience; must be willing tp perform full spectrum family medicine care and be willing to know OB (must have an understanding; not required to perform) additional faculty duties such as enhance educational content and learning experiences by delivering lectures to residents during didactic sessions; collaboration with faculty on program projects, supporting program development and innovationMust be in good standing with current employer or residency/fellowship programMust be willing to know OB but are not required to perform itMust be willing to perform the full family medicine spectrumBilingual in Spanish-English preferredOpen to family medicine trained candidates with additional training/fellowshipsCandidates are not required to have faculty experience; will be trained on the jobEstablished Medical Center with over 80 Physicians and 20 specialtiesOpen to new grads who are interested in exploring an academic fellowshipNo visa candidates, unfortunately Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
