Office Manager

Graff Chevrolet GMC of Michigan City | Automotive Office Manager Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Michigan City, IN | GM Experience Preferred Lead the Office That Keeps the Dealership Running We're seeking an experienced Office Manager to lead accounting office operations at our Michigan City store. You'll own accurate, timely financial reporting, partner with department leaders, and coach and develop the office team. What You'll Do

• Lead, train, and coach the office staff, including daily workflow, guidance, and follow-up
• Attend manager meetings and provide accounting, reporting, and operational updates
• Oversee daily banking, deposits, cash management, and reconciliations
• Manage floorplan activity, including payoffs, reconciliations, reporting, and audits
• Prepare, review, and reconcile General Motors factory statements
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements for dealership leadership
• Reconcile all account schedules and resolve outstanding items promptly
• Monitor general ledger activity, month-end close, schedules, journals, and documentation
• Keep manufacturer accounts, receivables, payables, incentives, and warranty schedules accurate and current
• Maintain strong internal controls, accurate records, and compliance with dealership policy and regulations
• Partner with department managers to resolve accounting issues and support operations
• Prepare monthly sales commissions accurately and on time

• GM dealership accounting experience preferred
• Prior automotive office manager, accounting manager, or similar leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of dealership and factory financial statements, floorplan, banking, schedules, and month-end close
• A coaching approach to leading and developing an office team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving
• Strong communication with managers, employees, vendors, lenders, and manufacturer representatives
• Proficiency with dealership management systems and Microsoft Office
