Production Supervisor (Food Manufacturing)

What You'll Do

• Coordinate daily production with cross-functional teams to align schedules and goals.
• Support and lead employees by communicating expectations, training staff, and reinforcing quality and performance standards.
• Maintain schedule and throughput by monitoring performance and holding teams accountable.
• Identify and resolve issues that impact volume, quality, or timelines.
• Communicate production status with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and sanitation teams.
• Drive improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with maintenance to reduce downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Promote urgency during production runs to meet customer deadlines.
• Minimize downtime by quickly addressing mechanical or process issues.
• Use production tools and Microsoft Office to track performance and prepare reports.
• Champion safety and reinforce safe work habits across the team.

What You Need to Bring

• Production supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience driving efficiency and quality.
• Strong communication across departments and shifts.
• Microsoft Office proficiency for tracking, reporting, and communication.
• Independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating 3rd shift (approx. 7 PM7 AM).
• Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Newport News, VA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr. Medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Newport News, VA.
