We’re looking for a business-minded Senior Counsel to help shape strategy, manage risk, and support business outcomes across ADP.In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor to business leaders and legal colleagues, with a strong focus on payroll tax, escalation management, risk mitigation, and compliance. You will partner across legal and business teams to address complex issues, simplify legal guidance for non-legal audiences, and help ADP respond to evolving regulatory and operational demands.What you’ll do:Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business leaders and legal colleagues on legal strategy, risk, and compliance across ADP business unitsResolve and manage disputes, negotiate settlements, and minimize risk, with a strong focus on employer and employee tax matters and business outsourcing issuesPartner closely with colleagues across ADP’s legal department and business units to support payroll tax escalation management and develop frameworks that minimize risk and financial exposure for ADP and its clientsCollaborate cross-functionally with business and legal teams to support operations, marketing, and compliance initiativesStay ahead of regulatory changes impacting ADP and drive solutions to meet evolving requirementsSimplify complex legal issues for non-legal audiences and help shape business decisionsBuild trusted relationships with stakeholders across legal and business teams at all levelsQualifications:Juris Doctorate and admission to a U.S. state bar required 8+ years’ legal experience, ideally a mix of in-house and law firm; dispute resolution background preferred Experience in dispute resolution, with settlement negotiation experience preferredExperience supporting payroll, tax, human capital management, technology, outsourcing, fintech, or business services organizations strongly preferredProven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment Strong business judgment and a practical, solutions-oriented approach to risk managementProven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressureOutstanding communication, negotiation, and judgment skillsCollaborative, self-directed approach with comfort operating across a highly matrixed organizationHigh ethical standards and a strong commitment to complianceAbility to travel as neededJob RequirementsYou'll love working here because:Be yourself in a culture that values equity, inclusion, and belonging and creates a safe space for diverse perspectives and insights.Belong by joining one of nine Business Resource Groups to connect globally with networks and allies who share common interests and experiences.Grow your career in an agile, fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunities to progress.Continuously learn through ongoing training, development, and mentorship opportunities.Be your healthiest.
