About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13-26 Weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2.5 years License: Active IL license required Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: - General OR and Trauma experience required - Level I trauma experience required - Required case experience in various specialties including bariatric, general surgery, neurology, orthopedic, plastic surgery, transplant, urology, and trauma Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. The nurse will work four 10-hour shifts each week. Candidates must have a minimum of 2.5 years of experience in the operating room. Candidates must have the ability to perform cases across multiple specialties. Experience with Cerner is preferred, though it is not mandatory. Weekend shifts are required once per month. On-call duty is required, approximately once a week. Candidates should have experience with essential tools such as electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources. Nurses must be proficient in handling a variety of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and trauma cases. All requested time off must be approved by management. Candidates must be willing to comply with all health and safety procedures. Floating within the facility may be required based on patient needs. Only applicants residing more than 50 miles from the facility will be considered for this role. All required skills must be met for candidate consideration.
