We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support purchasing operations, vendor management, and inventory-related processes. This role is responsible for obtaining competitive pricing, maintaining supplier relationships, tracking deliveries, resolving purchasing issues, and ensuring purchasing records remain accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Job DutiesObtain and negotiate competitive bids and quotes from vendorsFollow up with suppliers regarding deliveries and order statusResolve purchasing discrepancies and contract-related issuesMaintain purchasing records, supplier information, and material dataSupport inventory rotation and monitor product dates as neededBuild and maintain strong vendor relationshipsAssist with audits and compliance activitiesFollow established purchasing procedures, work instructions, and policiesKeep the purchasing work area organized and efficientPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsExperience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operationsContract negotiation experience preferredStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows-based applicationsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teamsStrong mathematical aptitude and ability to work with units of measurePreferred SkillsKnowledge of purchasing principles and vendor managementExperience working with audits and compliance requirementsStrategic thinking with the ability to execute day-to-day purchasing activitiesPhysical CapabilitiesPhysical requirements vary by assignment and will be discussed during the hiring process.
