Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor (MS) Days shift in a 20-bed unit. This position involves providing direct patient care under the scope of a registered nurse, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1. The role requires attending general orientation, EPIC training, and departmental orientation, with floating to other medical-surgical units as necessary. Job Details: Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. The shift hours are from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Required Qualifications: Indiana registered nurse license, minimum of 1 year medical-surgical experience, BLS certification through the American Heart Association, and at least 2 years of overall experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records and PYXIS medication system. Additional Information: Floating to other units/departments may be required to meet staffing needs. Orientation includes general, EPIC, and departmental training over 1-2 shifts.
