From soups to salads, your work helps create convenient, wholesome options for our customers.Hourly Pay: $16.90 – $22.00Benefits: Medical, dental, vision and life insurance plus great in-store discountsWhat You'll DoPrepare fresh meals according to established recipes and daily prep listsChop vegetables, fruits, and assemble cold entrees and side dishesPrepare soups, cornbread, and biscuits; refill as needed throughout the dayStore and rotate leftover food properly to prevent spoilageTest food temperatures and follow food safety standardsStock cold line with prepped vegetables and replenish items as neededCover breaks for kitchen cooks when availableCommunicate product shortages and equipment issues to the managerMaintain a clean and organized work area in line with health department regulationsFollow all safety and sanitation protocolsProvide excellent customer service as neededAttend scheduled team meetingsPerform additional duties as assigned by the Food Service ManagerWhat You BringExperience in commercial food prep or food service preferredUnderstanding of basic cooking techniques for hot and cold foodFamiliarity with food safety standards and health codesExperience using commercial kitchen equipment is a plusCustomer Focus & AbilitiesAble to read, understand, and follow recipes in EnglishVerbal proficiency in English and basic written communicationStrong attention to cleanliness, detail, and accuracyBasic math skills for food measurements and calculationsTeam-oriented, adaptable, and dependablePhysical RequirementsStand for long periods (up to 8 hours)Push, lift, and carry equipment or food items (up to 50 lbs.) up to 100 times dailyUse carts and dollies to move product between coolers and workstationsBend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead for itemsWork in both hot and cold environments, including outdoors as neededHandle multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen settingFollow all health code and sanitation regulationsSchedule RequirementsMust be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidaysWhy Join Mother's Market?We're a mission-driven company that prioritizes health, community, and sustainability.
