Our client, a leading manufacturer of utility steel structures is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for the design, estimation, and detailing of transmission, distribution, substation, and related utility structures. About the Opportunity

Our client serves the utility and power delivery market through multiple manufacturing facilities across the United States and continues to invest in growth and innovation to support increasing infrastructure demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Engineers, Estimators, and Detailers in providing quotations, engineering designs, and fabrication drawings for transmission, distribution, substation, and other utility structures, with a focus on tubular steel poles, arms, and accessories.
• Report directly to the Director of Engineering.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard engineering team members.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, performance management, and accountability.
• Ensure consistent application of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage departmental priorities and establish clear expectations.
• Guide the team to deliver high-quality work on schedule and with consistent results.
• Participate as an active member of the leadership team to drive continuous improvement and business success.
• Support customer relationships through technical engagement and collaboration with the sales team.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to develop safe, efficient, and competitive product designs.
• Travel as needed to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, industry events, and trade shows.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous leadership or people-management experience
• 2+ years of utility pole or utility structures industry experience
• 2+ years of steel product design or structural steel connection design experience
• Structural Engineering emphasis within degree program
• Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration
• Willingness to relocate in the future for career advancement opportunities
