Retail Sales Associate

The Retail Sales Associate plays a very important role. This position is essential to greet and engage with all guests, as you are a very important impression of the business. Below are the fundamental areas that each Retail Sales Associate must perform on a daily basis to ensure positive retail operations.

Inform customers about sales, promotions, and upcoming events

Build guest relationships through excellent customer service and honest recommendations

Effectively process transactions through Gift Shop POS system

Stock and merchandise sales floor as directed

Process incoming merchandise as directed

Assist in maintaining organization and cleanliness of back stock room and the sales floor

Enthusiasm to work during peak business hours including weekends and holidays

Help guests navigate the Coastal property when needed

Other related duties as directed by management

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Must have solid communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate with guests, peers, and management

Ability to multitask while being attentive to guests and remaining flexible to the needs of the business

Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to process cash and credit card transactions

Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic attitude with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service

Must be able to adapt in an open air concept to seasonal weather conditions

Previous retail experience or similar experience on the sales floor a plus

Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders

Ability to lift 50+ pounds

The pay for this position is $15 per hour.
