Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create comprehensive treatment plans that address the full spectrum of client needs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of client information.
• Assist clients in developing and implementing effective coping strategies through ongoing support, skill-building exercises, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Engage in consistent professional development through workshops, training sessions, and outreach activities that enhance both personal and organizational knowledge and effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Clayton Mental Health Clinic, you will work with a varied patient population, from children and adolescents to adults, presenting with a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and needs of our clients is essential in providing tailored therapeutic approaches that resonate with their personal experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license to practice in Pennsylvania (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
• Minimum of two years of professional experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, demonstrating a solid understanding of therapeutic processes and practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with telehealth technologies and platforms that enable remote counseling sessions.
• Background in evidence-based treatment methodologies relevant to family therapy, child therapy, and trauma-informed care.
• Involvement in community outreach or program development initiatives aimed at improving mental health awareness and access.

Compensation and Benefits
