Papillion La Vista Community Schools is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and Benefits Specialist to support the administration of district wide payroll and benefits. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, employee record maintenance, and exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with all departments across the district to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting.
• Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.
• Assists with benefits administration, including employee enrollment, changes, and updates.
• Monitoring employee leave activity to ensure compliance with district policies.
• Maintains documentation with a high degree of confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Provides exceptional customer service by working professionally and courteously with employees, financial institutions, benefit providers, and external agencies.
• Utilize technology and online systems to accurately process data, generate reports, and support payroll and benefits operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma required: associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, human resources, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Experience processing payroll and understanding of payroll, preferably in a public school or public agency.
• Other: Strong computer proficiency and experience using online systems. Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
