Sunstates Security is hiring a Flex Security Officer in the Columbia, MO area to work on call/as needed. Pay is $18.00/hr with weekly pay. Must be available Monday‑Friday with some Saturdays. Must obtain a state security license. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Reliable transportation. Must work all shifts: mornings, evenings, and overnights. Strong customer service skills. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military is preferred. Basic computer skills. Exceptional report writing skills. Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Scheduling Expectations Train at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need; assignments are temporary. Schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need. You will be offered shifts as they become available due to staffing needs. Some shifts will be scheduled in advance with the new week’s schedule; others may come with short notice. When scheduled, you must work any shift unless you notify your supervisor of a conflict. For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts called. Refusing more than 20% could negatively affect employment status.
