Schedule: Thursday - Sunday | 10:00 PM - 4:00 AM (24 hours per week)
Pay: $19.00 per hour

Position Summary

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight security services at a residential apartment community in Columbia, Missouri. This position is responsible for helping maintain a secure environment through routine patrols, controlled property access, and professional interaction with residents and authorized visitors.

The ideal candidate is observant, dependable, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a visible security presence throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot patrols throughout the apartment community during assigned shifts.
• Monitor entrances and common areas to help maintain controlled access to the property.
• Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering or remaining on the premises.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property damage, or safety concerns.
• Complete detailed and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation.
• Respond appropriately to security concerns and notify supervisors when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor while interacting with residents, guests, contractors, and property management.
• Help promote a safe and welcoming living environment through consistent security presence.
• Follow all site-specific procedures and company policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active Guard Card required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports.
• Strong observational skills and sound judgment.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
• Ability to work overnight shifts as scheduled.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential, apartment, or property security preferred.
• Experience in performing access control and routine patrols.
• Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional while handling routine security situations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform frequent foot patrols throughout the property.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds occasionally.
