As part of our team, you will play an instrumental role in major reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies in Los Angeles. Manages and conducts engineering work on wastewater and reuse projects for multiple clientsPrepares and delivers technical evaluations, reports and electronic deliverablesSupervise or coordinate the work of staff engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignmentsResponsible for acting independently and making authoritative decisions on technical mattersResponsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standardsAnticipates client needs and works with the client to determine objectives and requirements of new task assignmentsDevelops significant relationships with new and existing clients and shares responsibility for client maintenanceInvolved in exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approachesInitiates and maintains contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companiesInvolved on team that prepares proposals, conducts interviews and negotiates contracts with clients after selectionSupports firm's relationships with client management personnelActive in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers, member of technical committee, officer of local or national organizationIdentify needs for recruitment of new employees and participates in selection processTravel required when requestedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical EngineeringRegistration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California10+ years professional experience (exclusive of any advanced degree)Experience includes wastewater and reuse design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design for wastewater and reuse. Familiar with a broad range of issues related to wastewater and reuse systems, including master planning, conveyance, with an emphasis on treatment plant designAbility to communicate effectively and confidently with multiple clients and project teamsHighly motivated, articulate, and self-startingStrong verbal and written communications skillsWork well in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringExperience in MBR treatment and advanced treatment facilities designDesign and construction phase experienceExperienced in in using tools to manage project financials, managing schedule, and in manage qualityCompensation Range$170,000 to $210,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
