Program Manager II

: The Infrastructure Planning and Acquisition (IPA) organization is seeking a Technical Program Manager II for our Tools, Operations, and Initiatives team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving org scalability, efficiency, and decision making to accelerate our ability to scale the Azure global data center infrastructure. You will program manage multiple efforts to identify opportunities to improve data and process consistency and eliminate bottlenecks in defining the strategy and planning for Microsoft's new cloud region launches and regional expansions. In this role you will have the opportunity to drive clarity and decisions on infrastructure sourcing signals by integrating with Azure, Finance, and Infrastructure acquisition teams, including land, power, network, and data center leasing and acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes data focused analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in IPA tools and processes.
• Leads direct internal customer engagements to solicit feedback and understand their experiences with the services, systems, and processes in use.
• Develops proposals for improvement and collaborate with others to orchestrate and align on the development and implementation of solutions.
• Tracks, coordinates, and communicates end-to-end project schedules for efforts that allow timely decision making and are in alignment with our strategy.
• Contributes to the effective adoption of new and revised systems by ensuring proper documentation and training (e.g. best practices, office hours, etc), and continuous monitoring of proper usage.
• Defines criteria and performance metrics for initiatives ensuring that improvements are measurable and quantifiable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
