Executive Chef

Pay:$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Job description: The Executive Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, coordinating, and overseeing nutritious, appetizing, and safe meals for residents within the CBRF/long-term care setting. This role ensures compliance with state regulations, sanitation standards, resident dietary needs, and organization policies while promoting a positive dining experience that supports resident health, dignity, and quality of life. The Chef also assists with kitchen leadership, food ordering, inventory management, staff guidance, and maintaining a clean and organized dietary department. Food Preparation & Service Prepare and cook meals, snacks, and therapeutic diets according to approved menus and physician-ordered dietary restrictions.Ensure meals are served in a timely, safe, and attractive manner.Modify food textures and portions as required for resident needs.Monitor food temperatures and proper food handling procedures.Assist in menu planning with consideration for nutrition, resident preferences, seasonal offerings, and budgetary guidelines.Ensure adequate meal substitutions are available when necessary. Kitchen Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, storage, prep areas, and equipment.Ensure compliance with all sanitation, infection control, and food safety regulations.Complete required cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and documentation accurately.Assist with food ordering, receiving deliveries, stock rotation, and inventory control.Minimize food waste and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations. Compliance & Safety Follow all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to dietary services in long-term care and CBRF settings.Adhere to resident rights, confidentiality standards, and abuse prevention policies.Maintain compliance with OSHA, infection control, and emergency preparedness procedures.Follow proper lifting, safety, and body mechanics practices.
