Commercial Paralegal/ Legal Assistant

We are a multi-state collections law firm based in Farmington Hills. Experience in civil litigation is required. Responsibilities include preparing multiple pleadings, interacting with clients, and supporting the attorneys. Paralegal/Legal Assistant Location: Farmington Hills, MI (Onsite) Candidates should have the following attributes Reliable with strong work ethic Pays attention to detail Well organized Ability to multi-task, as well as the ability to work in a high volume and deadline driven environment is essential Ability to work in a team environment, and act as a team player Degree and/or Experience: Bachelor degree, Associate degree, or Paralegal and/or Legal Assistant certification, or; Comparable experience in a collection law firm or the legal department of a 3rd party collection environment, or; 2-5 years of experience with a law firm or legal department Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to interact effectively with people at all organization levels of the firm Computer Experience: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Previous experience with the following Collection Software is a plus: Collection Partner and/or Cogent Attendance Candidates should have reliable transportation and be able to work regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
