State Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program Analyst

Under the general supervision of the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Chief with guidance provided by the State CERT Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for several critical CERT program projects, including planning, implementing, and maintaining the CERT Program Registry; expanding and updating the Cal OES website to include CERT program content; coordinating the development and maintenance of CERT program training curriculum; and other functions in support of the State CERT Program. Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion In the event of an emergency, employees may be contacted and requested to report to work in the event of an emergency. This contact may be outside of your normal working hours (evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays). This service may require irregular work hours, work locations other than the official duty location, and may include duties other than those specified in your official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and you may be required to relocate to emergency sites. Experience or training with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program. Experience working with public safety agencies. Experience with training curriculum review and/or development. A high aptitude for researching and analyzing policies to make recommendations to senior staff. Experience coordinating meetings with professionals or specialists whose knowledge may exceed your own.
