Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Plano, TX Agency: Concentric Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Plano, Texas, 75075! Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Ortho Trauma Med/Surg unit with a patient ratio of 1:5 (flex to 1:6) Care for polytrauma patients, non-surgical cervical fractures cleared by spine, ortho, and trauma, downgraded TBI patients, burn downgrades, and patients with up to three drains Manage Heparin and Protonix drips and monitor patients on telemetry equipment Participate in unit huddle, arriving on the unit by 1845 per hospital policy Float to other Med/Surg units as needed Fulfill a four-weekend commitment per assignment requirements Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Proficiency with telemetry equipment Experience with Meditech EMR Preferred Experience / Skills Orthopedic and/or trauma patient care experience Strong team-player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us Opportunity to work on a specialized Ortho Trauma unit gaining valuable experience with a diverse and complex patient population Supportive staffing structure with dedicated charge nurses on every shift About Concentric Healthcare Staffing Founded and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Concentric Healthcare Staffing specializes in healthcare employment with an emphasis in nursing and allied health.
