Out of School Time Site Support Specialist (OST) Job ID: 19162 Location District Wide Hours Full-time, year-round. Work hours will vary based upon program and site needs; may be needed to open (6:15 am) and/or close (6:00 pm) School Age Care programs. Occasional evenings and weekends for special events. Responsibilities Oversee and support a cluster of elementary school OST programs, providing daily support and training resources to Kids Club Supervisors. Adjust hours as needed to support sites during program hours and maintain student‑to‑staff ratios. Oversee and support Non‑School Day and Summer programming. Serve as special‑needs site support under guidance of the Inclusion Coordinator. Mentor, coach, and support staff working with challenging behaviors following program, district, state, and federal guidelines. Recommend and support accommodations, modifications. Work with families, school‑day staff, site staff, and the Inclusion Coordinator through the inclusion process. Support documentation, reporting, confidentiality, and mandated‑reporting processes. Facilitate collaboration between OST programs to increase participation. Help develop new programs integrating services. Support low‑enrollment schools in developing program options targeting student/family needs. Manage roster distribution and attendance needs, implementing safe sign‑in/out practices. Serve as site lead for various summer OST programs. Facilitate facility‑use collaboration for OST programs, working with school‑day staff, OST staff, facilities team, and custodians to secure space. Serve as first point of contact to resolve space‑use issues. Facilitate positive relationships between school‑day staff and OST programs, aligning behavior practices and activities with SIPs, personalization strategies, and other supports. Attend school meetings as needed. Ensure safety training and drills at each site. Ensure medication intake/distribution practices and other health and safety practices per district and state are followed. Verify health records, crisis plans, student health plans, immunization records, and other safety records are completed, filed, and up‑to‑date. Support safety procedures in collaboration with other OST program staff. Support quality assurance processes at each site: guide establishment and tracking of site goals in coordination with program management. Use data and research best practices to recommend program improvements. Stay abreast of research and trends in the SAC field. Review Kids Club activity plans and calendars to assure alignment with program goals and practices. Communicate district, department, and program information to site staff in a timely and consistent manner. Participate in regular Kids Club site/program meetings. Review and support preparation of monthly parent newsletters and other communications. Communicate on a regular basis with site staff, families, Program Coordinators, and Manager. Attend Central Team meetings as required. Perform site‑based registration processes and related bookkeeping. Monitor ratios regularly and report overages to the Coordinator team. Monitor site staffing, review, approve, and submit payroll records. Provide site‑based orientation and training. Monitor staff paperwork, training, and ongoing review so that staff can work independently with students. Complete 40 annual hours of qualified training. Make authorized purchases for site supplies, manage and track site budgets and expenditures. Complete the monthly PCard account reconciliation. Support sites in monitoring program site budgets under the guidance of the Central Team. Submit required records and paperwork. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development, Social Work, Counseling or a related field OR 3‑5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a School Age Care program (or equivalent position). 1040 hours of related work experience in special education, teaching, child development, recreation, and/or child‑care setting. 40 hours of relevant training in areas such as child development, child guidance, human relations, communication, recreational programming, and academics. Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions. Communicates with students, parents, co‑workers, supervisors, and the community confidentially, positively, and responsively, consistently fostering welcoming and effective work relationships. Competent with computer functions, including email, Google Drive, the internet, Microsoft Word, and Excel. First aid and CPR certification (or must be obtained within 120 days of employment).
