TCI is searching for an accomplished Director of Business Development who knows how to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and close complex transportation solutions. This isn't a transactional sales role—it's a strategic leadership opportunity. You'll partner with prospective customers to understand their operations, build compelling business cases, develop customized transportation solutions, and help organizations reduce costs while improving service. From dedicated fleet programs to leasing, maintenance, and logistics solutions, you'll become a trusted advisor who delivers measurable business value. What You'll Do Develop new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, and strategic relationship building Build compelling business cases and ROI analyses for dedicated transportation solutions Lead customer discovery meetings to uncover operational challenges and identify opportunities Partner with Operations, Pricing, and internal stakeholders to develop customized proposals Present transportation solutions that improve customer efficiency, service, and profitability Own opportunities from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, implementation, and successful launch Manage existing Dedicated, Leasing, and Maintenance accounts while identifying opportunities for growth Maintain an organized Salesforce pipeline with detailed opportunity documentation and accurate forecasting Collaborate with executive leadership during pipeline reviews and strategic account planning What Makes You Successful You thrive in front of customers and know how to ask the questions that others don't. You're comfortable leading executive conversations, navigating objections, and earning trust through credibility rather than pressure. You enjoy analyzing operations, building financial models, and creating solutions that make customers' businesses better—not just selling another service. We're Looking For Someone Who Has Proven success in business development, transportation sales, logistics, or fleet solutions Experience selling complex transportation or operational solutions Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills The ability to build ROI-driven business cases and value propositions Excellent presentation and executive communication skills Experience managing a sales pipeline using Salesforce or another CRM Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities The willingness to travel regularly to customer locations A Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Why TCI?
