The Roxy Hotel is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to manage the evening service of the bar, lounge, room service and the front and back of house. You’ll be working the floor a lot, which also has a rock star perk: each night, you’ll hear live jazz from some of the industry greats.

Responsibilities include:

• Floor presence, ensuring service standards are consistent
• Training and evaluating team members in their roles
• Conducting effective pre-shifts
• Scheduling and payroll
• Inventory and purchasing
• Ensure that all brand standards are implemented.
• Work cohesively with all other departments in the hotel
• Ensure guest satisfaction is at the forefront of everything we do

Building strong rapport with guests

Ensure all team members maintain the integrity of the brand while providing outstanding guest service at all times.

When on the floor during service use the time to continually coach and motivate team members. Floor Managers are monitoring and participating in guest interaction. Ensure Service Standards are being upheld.

Maintain positive guest interaction and continue to build loyal working relationships.

• Energetic and detail-oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with knowledge of Excel and Word are required
• Able to work effectively with all department managers
• An interest in style, music, fashion, art, and/or or dining and nightlife (pertaining to NYC)
• Creative problem solver
