Per Diem Dietitian Opportunity

We are seeking a Per Diem Dietitian who is passionate about Clinical Nutrition and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced hospital setting and demonstrate compassion, strong communication skills, and a commitment to supporting specialized health and dietary needs.

Duties include:

• Assessing patients in accordance with hospital policy utilizing the Nutrition Care Process
• Providing nutrition education to patients and/or caregivers based on assessment of individual learning needs.
• Working closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide inpatient care that is integrated and compatible with the patient focused medical goals.
• Conducting in-services on nutrition subjects relevant to patient care.
• Participating in the development, implementation and updates of internal policies and procedures.
• Serving as nutrition representative at meetings and/or committees as needed.
• Collaborating with culinary and production teams regarding patient menus; making appropriate recommendations for improving the nutritional content of menus.
• Supporting the use of the Diet Office Software Technology.
• Adhering to practice standards established by local, state and national agencies.
• Performing other duties as required in relation to job function.

Requirements include:

• BS Degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, or Dietetics (Masters Preferred)
• Registered Dietitian and Licensed RD
• Experience with specialized nutritional dining software required
• Experience in a Contract Dining facility setting preferred
• Electronic Medical Records
• Nutrition Education
